SoHa Smart Makerspace in Haddon Township

Located in the SoHa Arts Building in Haddon Township, the facility houses the SoHa Smart Makerspace and a co-working incubator of artisans, creatives and makers.

SoHa SMART (Space for Makers, Artisans, Revolutionists, Techies) is a local place for anyone to take classes, tinker, invent, reinvent, begin or finish your dreams and ideas. As we progress, we will add many amazing new tools for our residents and class attendees to use. From the basics of any work shop to some of the most advanced machines for making and fabricating that are available. We are currently in process of acquiring 3D Printers, laser cutters, and state of the art items that can be utilized in the genius process.

What are Makerspaces?

Makerspaces (also known as Hackerspaces, Creative Spaces, Fab Labs, Makelabs and in California - Makerhoods), according to Wikipedia,  are open community labs where members with common interests (e.g., engineering, computer programming, inventing, graphic design, etc.) gather to share resources, knowledge, career networking and build new devices.  Generally, makerspaces are designed to meet the following needs:
