Giving Back

The New Jersey Makerspace Association is grateful to its private, foundation and government supporters.  Donations and foundation and government grants are invaluable to NJMA's vitality and innovation. The funding contributions of these institutions enable us to create meaningful educational experiences, facilities and support programs that inspire learners of all ages. You too can make a difference by giving to the New Jersey Makerspace Association. Help us promote innovation!  With support from corporations, alumni and friends, we can outfit makerspaces throughout New Jersey with state of the art equipment, software and supplies.

Ways to Give

Every gift to the New Jersey Makerspace Association is important. Whether large or modest, each gift is an affirmation of our high standards for excellence in service. Below are some guidelines to help you tailor a gift to fit your specific circumstances.

  • Outright gifts of  check or credit card. Make a gift online now or contact the Annual Giving Department - Rutgers University Foundation, 303 George Street, Suite 301, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. The Rutgers University Foundation can also be reached at (732) 839-2006, or by visiting their site here.
  • Matching gifts add to the impact of your charitable donation. Many employers will match employee gifts. Obtain the matching gift form from the human resources department of your company.
  • Planned gifts that provide life-long income to the donor or the donor's designee, or gifts through a will or living trust.

Each of these ways of giving benefits Rutgers and the New Jersey Makerspace Association and offers tax or estate planning advantages for the donor.

Naming Opportunities

Gifts that bear your name or the name of a loved one offer a lasting impact on the school. We have several naming opportunities available to honor your commitment to Makerspaces.  A plaque will be placed in a prominent location at the entrance of the facility that will bear the donor's name (and company logo if desired) in recognition of their commitment to the Association. It will give appropriate visibility to the donor and will be a constant reminder of the integral role our partners play in our ability to provide a unique learning environment for our students.

Imagine faculty and students busily engaged in groundbreaking innovation in a Makerspace that bears your name. Naming is a lasting gift that forever associates the donor's name with the school. Please contact us for more information.

All gifts to the NJMA are administered through The Rutgers University Foundation. The foundation is ready to provide you with assistance at any time. Please call 1-888-RU-A-DONOR to discuss how to make a gift, where to send your contribution, or any other questions you may have about supporting Rutgers.  Or, you can also Donate online.
